ME Energy masters market entry in the founding state of Brandenburg with its own developed charging stations

The first two off-grid charging stations refuel electric cars in Wildau and Berlin.

Potsdam – ME Energy, based in Wildau, develops and sells fast-charging columns that generate their own electricity. The off-grid charging stations do not require complex and expensive connections to the power grid and can be installed anywhere and can also be relocated.

The highly efficient power generation is based on a new technology - CO2-neutral from biofuels and provides a large charging capacity. IlB Ceo Tillmann Stenger was able to see this for himself during a visit on Friday. The agile start-up in Wildau has achieved the transformation from a business plan to a finished product with paying customers in less than a year. As a financing partner, ILB has fully supported the company through various programs of Venture Capital (Brandenburg Kapital), ProFIT programme and GRW funds as well as Corona Emergency Aid. Tillmann Stenger was convinced by the idea of being able to flexibly set up charging stations in all regions and was amazed at the dedicated founding team. "In Brandenburg, it is not only large companies which have recently started to build up E-Mobility capacities," says Stenger, "but also innovative start-ups such as ME Energy are now entering the market. I encourage founders and start-ups to accept our venture capital offers in particular in order to build up new, innovative companies in Brandenburg, such as ME Energy. Especially now, when everyone is suffering from the difficulties caused by the Corona pandemic, we want to support Brandenburg entrepreneurs with our financial instruments."

The managing director of ME Energy, Alexander Sohl, reports: "With the market entry and the commissioning of the first ME Energy fast-charging station, our promise has now become a reality: fast charging everywhere, CO2 neutral and completely independent of the power grid. Increasingly, our customers also understand the real scope of the product: to be able to have maximum charging speed at any freely selectable location, within days, without planning and construction times – this opens up completely new possibilities. With our mobile fast-charging stations, we are setting new impulses for the business models of our customers, users and society. In the future, ME Energy will be looking to optimize our off-grid fast-charging station for multiple power levels and essential applications. We look forward to these next steps and, based on our experience so far, are very confident."
