One of Brandenburg Kapital’s portofolio companies has won the prestigious Brandenburg Future award
Potsdam, November 2021. The jury decisions are taken. Six companies were awarded on November 12th with the state's most important business prize by Minister President Dietmar Woidke. Among them is also our portfolio company Pentracor GmbH. A total of 82 companies applied this year. Next to Pentracor, the twelve finalists also included Unicaps GmbH, which we have been privileged to accompany since 2017.
We are really proud and congratulate both companies very warmly!
The medical technology company Pentracor is engaged in the development and marketing of specific adsorbers. Their first product -- PentraSorb®CRP - is used for the treatment of acute heart attacks and currently also for covid patients.

Brandenburg Kapital GmbH is a subsidiary of the Investitionsbank des Landes Brandenburg (ILB). Since 1993, as the venture capital arm of ILB, it has supported Brandenburg-based companies by acquiring equity stakes and equity-like investments. Through the investment activities of the ILB, 232 companies have been supported so far on their growth course with around 256 million euros. In addition, private investors have invested more than 525 million euros in the companies to date.
