Brandenburg Kapital - News about Dryad Networks GmbH

Dryad Networks, a Brandenburg Kapital porfolio company, wins the Innovation Award Berlin Brandenburg 2021

Potsdam, 29 November 2021. The innovations of this year's winner of the Berlin Brandenburg Innovation Award are diverse and sustainable. Dryad Networks was chosen by the jury as the winner out of a total of 168 entries and was awarded the prize on the evening of November 26th.

Dryad Networks is a provider of Silvanet, an asset management system for the ultra-early detection of forest fires. Accounting for 20 percent of global CO2 emissions, forest fires are a major driver of climate change. Silvanet combines solar-powered gas sensors with artificial intelligence and can detect fires in less than 60 minutes and report them over a wide-area wireless network. Early detection allows firefighters to reach a fire in time to extinguish it before it gets out of control.

Brandenburg Kapital GmbH has been supporting the company as an investor with financing from its Early-stage and Growth Fund since 2020. The fund resources for the Early-stage and Growth Fund, established on behalf of the Brandenburg Ministry of Economic Affairs, are currently provided by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and by ILB.

In addition, Dryad has received another approximately 1.7 million euros in grants and low-interest loans through the ProFIT Brandenburg and the Gründung innovativ funding programs.
