Potsdam - January 2022. The product of Emperra GmbH from Potsdam, the ESYSTA app, which is the first and only stand-alone diabetes app to be approved by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices as a digital health application (DiGA), can now be prescribed to patients on prescription.

During the Corona pandemic crisis, the company is providing the technology free of charge. The ESYSTA product system seamlessly stores insulin units and blood glucose levels and transfers them fully automatically to the patient's journal, freeing them from the daily trouble of keeping a journal. The hardware devices required for this purpose, which facilitate the documentation of blood glucose levels and/or insulin levels, are available on prescription.

Brandenburg Kapital GmbH has recently supported the company with a financing round together with Peppermint Venture Partners, H.T.B. Unternehmensbeteiligungen GmbH, Pathways Ventures GmbH and other private investors.
