Brandenburg Kapital supports synergies for the production of sustainable capsule solutions with investment

Frankfurt (Oder), 18 March 2022 – UniCaps GmbH, as a pioneer of one of the leading companies for sustainable coffee capsules in Germany, has created a privileged partner with the spin-off of Inovias GmbH in order to be able to promote the further development of environmentally-friendly packaging products and technologies. Brandenburg Kapital in Potsdam, a subsidiary of the Brandenburg development bank ILB, and other co-investors are participating in the company with a seven-digit sum.

With the compost capsule it has developed, Inovias offers a sustainable alternative to the aluminum capsules of established suppliers. In addition, Inovias and its partner companies have the innovation potential to open up new areas of application for capsule products and other packaging solutions with sustainable packaging materials. As a forward-looking packaging specialist, this will also enable Inovias to significantly expand Unicap‘s economic prospects.

Inovias develops market-ready applications and technologies for the packaging industry. It has also reduced dependence on existing suppliers and improves market position through technical advantages in the field of food preservation. The corporate strategy is to implement the latest technologies and trends through a supplier, development partner and university network to commercialize them in the form of applications/utilizations.
