Grandperspective closes Series A financing of EUR 7 million together with Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures and existing investor

Berlin/Kleinmachnow, Oktober 17th 2022 – Grandperspective, the German based company with the world’s first holistic emission monitoring system has successfully closed its Series A led by Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures (SAEV) together with the existing investors High-Tech Gründerfonds, Brandenburg Kapital and kineo finance.

The funding will be used to support the worldwide commercialization of Grandperspective’s scanfeld® system and for the development of new software applications. With its unique software, scanfeld@ already offers early warning in case of hazardous emissions. In addition, the system will provide features for plant maintenance and ESG reporting.

René Braun, CEO of Grandperspective, highlights the visionary potential of the new partnership: “SAEV is known for its great expertise in scaling industrial innovations. We see a unique chance for setting a new standard of emission monitoring in this joint effort. Together we can demonstrate how the autonomous monitoring of industrial plants provides safety and contributes to the achie-ement of the sustainability goals. We provide continuous knowledge about all emissions of the chemical and petrochemical plant to empower our customers and facilitate change. Because in the end, what you don’t measure you don’t manage.”

“For Aramco Ventures, this investment in Grandperspective via our SAEV fund is very strategic. The application of the Grandperspective technology has the potential to provide many safety, eco-nomic and operational benefits across our facilities” said Mahdi Aladel, CEO of Aramco Ventures.

Kreske Nikelsen, partner of kineo capital, adds: ”We at kineo capital are proud to continue our support of Grand Perspective with equity as well as tailored debt financing. We are sure that the Grand Perspective solution is increasingly relevant. It provides a very high level of safety on industrial production through the early detection of gas leaks and, in addition, can support a predictive maintenance schedule based on the monitoring data sets which will lower the overall risk and costs of running such a site.”

Thilo Neu, senior investment manager of Brandenburg Kapital, explicated: “For Brandenburg the investment with SAEV and other important investors illustrates the importance as an actual location of High-Tech-companies. Grandperspective will have a world-wide impact on safety-engineering for chemicals and process industry.”

“The remote monitoring solution developed by Grandperspective sets new standards by offering an unmatched fast and precise localization of gas leaks. The successful financing round demonst-rates the excellent work of the team around the founders René Braun, Peter Maas and Alexander Herrmann and paves the way for further scaling,” said Dr. Gernot Berger, Senior Investment Manager at High-Tech Gründerfonds.
