Startup Week Brandenburg 2025: Premiere for innovation and entrepreneurial spirit
From May 5 to 9, 2025, the first statewide Startup Week Brandenburg celebrated its successful premiere. With over 40 events in five days, it offered founders, start-ups, and those interested in innovation a diverse program of workshops, pitches, networking events, and consulting services at locations such as Potsdam, Cottbus, Wildau, Eberswalde, Brandenburg an der Havel, Schwedt (Oder), Frankfurt (Oder), and online.
Minister of Economic Affairs Daniel Keller acted as patron for the week and emphasized the importance of start-ups as drivers of innovation and employers of the future. The campaign week was organized by a broad network of universities, start-up centers, scientific institutions, and business development agencies.
A particular highlight was the Brandenburg semi-final of Female StartAperitivo on May 5 in Potsdam. Eight start-ups led by women presented their ideas to a jury of experts and an audience. Brandenburg Kapital provided Rahel Strupp as a jury member and supported the event together with the Investment Bank of the State of Brandenburg (ILB), which sponsored one of the prizes. The winner of the jury prize, biotechnologist Ghazaleh Madani from Potsdam Science Park, will present her company CanChip at the national finals in Berlin on June 27.
