ThinkSono secures $6 million for AI-powered thrombosis diagnostics
With fresh capital, the British MedTech company is expanding its team and activities in Europe and the US – Brandenburg Kapital among investors.
Potsdam - July 2025. The Potsdam-based MedTech start-up ThinkSono, developer of the world's first AI-based software for detecting deep vein thrombosis (DVT), has successfully closed an oversubscribed financing round. A total of US$6 million will flow into the company.
Together with Id4 ventures, Cur8 Capital, and leading international MedTech experts, Brandenburg Kapital is supporting the next phase of growth - from commercialization in the UK/EU to the targeted FDA approval.
With the new capital, ThinkSono is strengthening its international team and is continuing to drive expansion in Europe and the US. In parallel, multicenter clinical trials are underway in preparation for FDA approval of the ThinkSono Guidance software. The development is supported by collaborations with renowned US clinics such as NYU Langone Health, Temple Health, and UW Health.
ThinkSono is positioning itself as a pioneer in intelligent ultrasound solutions for improving patient care worldwide.
