The Brandenburg-based health tech company cureVision GmbH is the state winner of the KfW Gründen 2026 Award
Potsdam - October 2026. cureVision GmbH impressed the judges at the KfW Award Gründen 2026 and was named the Brandenburg state winner. A total of nearly 600 companies from all over Germany had applied for the award. Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Potsdam, the company has developed a medical device that measures, analyzes, and documents chronic wounds in a matter of seconds without physical contact.
When wounds don't heal
One in four families has a member with a chronic wound that often does not heal for months. Although it affects so many people, this problem-known in professional circles as the "silent epidemic"-is largely overlooked by the general public. The global shortage of approximately 11 million healthcare professionals (according to the WHO), including those in wound care, further exacerbates the situation for those affected.
This is exactly where cureVision comes in. Using a portable, disinfectable system, caregivers can measure length, width, depth, tissue distribution, thermography, and bacterial load-all contactlessly and in a matter of seconds. The standardized imaging works regardless of lighting or environmental conditions and reveals details that are invisible to the naked eye. In this way, cureVision frees up more time to care for more patients.
