Betterguards wins key investor in growth finance

Established medical technology investor enters the portfolio of Brandenburg Kapital with a mid-single-digit million amount.

Berlin/Hennigsdorf - 15. May 2019. Betterguards has gained another important strategic partner with the experienced Tübingen medical technology investor SHS Gesellschaft für Beteiligungsmanagement mbH. Founded in 1993, SHS invests in medical technology and life science companies and supports the growth of its portfolio companies. In addition to SHS, the previous investors BFB Brandenburg Kapital GmbH, a subsidiary of the Brandenburg development bank ILB, and Die BrückeKöpfe also participated in the financing round of Betterguards.

The company uses the fresh capital to expand and fully automate production in Brandenburg at the Hennigsdorf Technology Park as well as to strengthen its sales activities.

Betterguards was founded by Vinzenz Bichler, Max Müseler and Timo Stumper from the Technical University (TU) Berlin and currently employs 14 permanent employees and various interns and factory students.
