Industrial Analytics offers software solution for monitoring turbo machinery and processes as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for industrial customers

Berlin/Potsdam, May 28, 2019: The IoT company (Internet of Things) Industrial Analytics develops and distributes a software solution for monitoring turbo compressors (online condition monitoring). Machine data is evaluated using artificial intelligence, which achieves a reduction in downtimes and predictively optimizes maintenance intervals. Turbo compressors are mostly used to compress large gas volume flows.

The portfolio of BFB Brandenburg Kapital GmbH, the investment company of the Brandenburg development bank ILB, has thus been further expanded. The early-stage financing for a seven-digit amount was provided in open form in equal shares together with Senovo, an experienced venture capitalist for B2B and SaaS business models (Software-as-a-Service). The company was founded at the end of 2017, largely by former MAN Diesel & Turbo employees. In addition to a chair at the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI), the HPI Seed Fund and a business angel also hold shares in the company.

The product development is being carried out in cooperation with the HPI, which is financed by a joint project with the funding of the ProFIT programme of the Investment Bank Berlin and the Investment Bank of the State of Brandenburg (ILB). Although only recently on the market, the company has already gained several reference customers from different industries for its "TurboMonitor" product. The company will soon open a branch office at the offices of its development partner HPI in Potsdam as well as at a the offices of a customer in Schwedt.

"We are pleased that we were able to attract Senovo and Brandenburg Kapital as investors. This strengthens the trust of our customers and gives us the opportunity to further expand our operating business," says Anja Vedder, co-founder and COO of Industrial Analytics.

Sebastian Bertram, Senior Investment Manager of Brandenburg Kapital adds: "The existing know-how of the founders through their many years of work at MAN Diesel & Turbo SE as well as the positive market feedback and existing reference customers have convinced us to support Industrial Analytics in their further business development."

About Industrial Analytics

Industrial Analytics is an AI-IoT company that offers online condition monitoring for machines and systems in the process industry. The founders of the company previously worked for several years at MAN Diesel & Turbo, a turbo machinery manufacturer. Prof. Friedrich of the Hasso-Plattner-Institute (HPI) is also a co-founder. There is close cooperation with the HPI in Potsdam in the field of machine learning. The vertical solution developed by Industrial Analytics, especially for large turbo machinery, covers data collection and pre-processing as well as integration into an existing IT infrastructure and the evaluation of the data. The key innovation of this solution is the integration of acoustic and vibration signals and the use of physical models of the machines and systems in combination with machine learning. With the "TurboMonitor", operators can reduce their operating costs by operating their plants more efficiently and by optimizing maintenance and servicing.
