UniCaps, portfolio company of Brandenburg Kapital, wins Brandenburg Innovation Award Food Industry

Potsdam, 26. June 2019. The coffee and tea start-up UniCaps from Frankfurt (Oder) has won the Brandenburg Innovation Award for the Food Industry 2019. The idea of filling organic teas in compostable organic capsules for Nespresso®* and Nescafé®* Dolce Gusto®* machines was very well received and ultimately convinced the jury of experts.

Dirk N. Tillmann, Managing Director of UniCaps: "We are very pleased with the award. When we founded UniCaps almost three years ago, we wanted to revolutionize the tea market with compostable organic capsules. The fact that we are receiving the Innovation Award shows that we are on the right track. We already have further innovations in the pipeline and will consistently continue on the path of launching environmentally compatible quality drinks on the market. The time of ecological carelessness is over. That's what we stand for with our innovative products."

The Innovation Prize for the Food Industry is awarded annually by the Brandenburg Ministry of Economics and Energy. On June 19, 2019, the State of Brandenburg honored innovations of regional companies that promote the quality of the location and the economic performance of the state with the award.
